VMP Performance is now shipping their new Gen3 2.65-liter (Twin Vortices Series) TVS supercharger. The Gen3 is currently available for the Mustang and F-150 Coyote engines as well as the 2007-2014 Shelby GT500. A 2003-2004 SVT Cobra VMP Gen3 version is in the works and will be available in June.
As a collaborative effort, VMP united with Roush Performance in the development of the all-new, powerful VMP Gen3 supercharger. Designed around Eaton’s latest and highest performing R2650 rotor pack foundation, the new VMP Gen3 while only 15 percent larger, uses the new Eaton 2650 rotors which are capable of 25 percent more airflow compared to the previous model, the 2.3 L based Gen2R supercharger which utilizes Eaton’s previous rotor design.
If opting for the Gen3, know that it features a proprietary throttle body bolt pattern, so choose between a 173 mm throttle body (race) or a 160 mm throttle body (street/strip). If you wish to use your existing throttle body, you’ll need the optional adapter plate. The VMP Gen3 bolts down to factory mounting points which makes it easier to install.
