April 17th is National Mustang Day. Every year, Mustang enthusiasts congregate all around the country to celebrate our favorite pony car. The 54th birthday of the Mustang was no exception.
In Central Florida, Larry T. Beach held a Mustang event to commemorate the occasion at Ace Café in downtown Orlando. There were plenty of Mustangs and enthusiasts showing off their pride and joys.
From new Shelby GT500s to Fox bodies to vintage muscle, the lot was packed from front to back. VMP Performance was in attendance with both SEMA builds – the Focus RS “Triathlete” and the 2017 Mustang GT “Track Attack”.
DJ Don from Cruisin’ Orlando played tunes, a classic Mustang-shaped cake was made by Jillycakes, and a panel of Mustang industry people gathered at a table for a Q&A. The panel included VMP’s own creative writer Amie Williams, Steve Turner from Power Automedia, the one-and-only Donald Farr – author and editor of the Mustang Times, Mark Houlahan of the Mustang360 network, and Mary-Jean Wesche the former editor of Mustang Times for Mustang Club of America.
We’re ready to see what the 55th Mustang Birthday celebration has in store!
