VMP Performance CrewThe VMP Performance crew had a blast attending the 10th annual American Muscle Mustang Show at Maple Grove Raceway. VMP staff stayed busy talking with customers, showing off cool cars, and putting on some good old drag racing. The American Muscle Mustang show is a charity event with the proceeds benefiting the Make-A-Wish foundation. It brought in over 5,000 Mustangs and 10,000+ enthusiasts.

VMP is the primary sponsor and organizer of the exhibition drag race. VMP president, Justin Starkey, helped announce the racing action with American Muscle hosts Justin Dugan and Stephanie Wood. Ten cars, many featuring VMP superchargers, made passes down the quarter-mile with jam-packed stands. Justin worked hard to achieve parity to ensure close and exciting races. Josh Hubbell’s 2018 Mustang GT, which spotlights a host of Cervini’s parts made the perfect match for our VMP Gen3-supercharged F-150 driven by Rebecca Starkey of Rebecca Starkey Racing. Both nabbed 11.4-second passes.

We had the pleasure of having Carlos Sobrino and his eye-catching “Joker” in our booth.  Carlos’s car is a Coyote-swapped Fox-body that is a favorite in NMRA’s Coyote Stock class. It’s a badass Fox hatch that runs well into the 9s and hooks hard enough for sky-high wheelies. Kellen Stone, rocking a VMP Gen2 supercharger on his 2014 Mustang GT, was hanging out and making passes down the track. To shake things up, VMP called in a horse of a different color –  a Hennessey Camaro with a
Magnuson TVS.

All in all, the VMP staff had a fantastic time at the 2018 American Muscle show for charity and we look forward to American Muscle 2019!
