VMP Takes on Carlisle Ford Nationals June 1-3

Estimated reading time: 2 minutes

It’s the most wonderful time of the year for a car enthusiast. Summer is right around the corner, the weather is warming up, and those dusty car covers are back in storage. Ford aficionados were busy shining up their rides for the much-anticipated Carlisle All-Ford Nationals!

The VMP crew made the pilgrimage to Carlisle, Pennsylvania, for the All-Ford Nationals with the mobile dyno in tow. To say that this event is massive is an understatement. We are talking 3,000+ Ford, Lincoln, and Mercuries of all models, colors, and generations packed into nearly 100 acres inside the Carlisle Fairgrounds.

The biggest reward for VMP staff was meeting and talking with new and existing customers face-to-face. Whether it was a simple dyno pull, a head unit install, or tune tweaks, the VMP crew worked to make sure everyone was satisfied.

A low-mileage 2011 Shelby GT500 was brought to the VMP tent. VMP staff installed a JLT 123 kit, a VMP Twin Jet 67 mm throttle body, Brisk spark plugs, and a VMP Fuel Pump Voltage Booster.

Another highlight was VMP customer Matt Anderson’s 2013 Mustang GT. Matt brought his vehicle to the booth for a full dyno tune. It was equipped with a VMP Gen2R and L&M cams running 93 octane with Torco and made a healthy 712rwhp and 581lb∙ft rearwheel torque on the dyno.

In case you missed it – there was a fantastic surprise delivered to the VMP booth, a VMP Gen3 supercharger for the 2003-2004 SVT Cobra Terminator. The unboxing was featured live on VMP’s Facebook page. Preorders are under way and will ship late-June!

If we missed you at Carlisle, the VMP team will be attending the American Muscle show on June 16, 2018! We will see you there!
